What is in the VR09–VR16 series?
The eight designs are the calmer side of the velvet rug range: plain or mottled fields in grey, taupe, brown and ivory framed by simple lines, plus soft waves, streaks and brushstrokes. They sit easily in modern and neutral interiors. All are made of polyester velvet and can be washed by hand or in the machine in warm water (30 °C) – do not wring and do not dry clean.
Each design has its own code, followed by the size: VR10-100X300 is the Grey Triple Line runner, VR10-300X400 the same design as a large rug. The product pages show the photos of every design and its sizes.
- VR09 Taupe Triple Frame – a mottled taupe-brown field framed by three ivory stripes.
- VR10 Grey Triple Line – a soft grey-beige field with three black frame lines.
- VR11 Espresso Concentric – a dark espresso centre inside concentric brown and ivory stripes.
- VR12 Grey Linear Frame – a mottled grey field with an interlocking white line frame.
- VR13 Vintage Grey & Gold – a distressed grey and ivory field with gold touches and a black double frame.
- VR14 Brown Stripe Greek Key – brown and ivory streaks with an ivory Greek-key border.
- VR15 Ivory Waves – tone-on-tone ivory waves, calm and light.
- VR16 Blue Abstract – an ivory field with distressed denim-blue and gold brushstrokes.
Which size for which room?
Every design is available in the same three sizes, so a shop can offer one pattern for the hallway, the living room and a large seating area – and a customer can match rugs across rooms.
- 100×300 cm – a long runner for hallways, corridors and beside the bed.
- 200×300 cm – a living-room size for under the coffee table or the dining table.
- 300×400 cm – a large rug for a full seating area or a big dining set.
Which shops sell modern velvet rugs?
Neutral tones and simple frames are what many customers look for when furnishing a living room, a bedroom or a rental home: home and interior shops, furniture stores and webshops for home accessories sell them as the base of a room that the rest of the decor builds on. A rug finishes a room display and is often bought together with the sofa, table or decor around it.
